Points for the KvK prep get scored by using them on the correct day. There are 5 days where points can get scored. Use your resources on the correct day and you will score points for your Kingdom!

Gathering Resources
Everybody can do this! No excuses! You get 2 points for every 1000 in resources you gather ( Iron and Rock are adjusted equilly ). For example gathering bread at a level 8 resource, will provide 14.000.000 bread. This provides 14.000 x 2 = 28.000 points scored per gatherer. This normally takes about 10 hours, so 28.000 / 10 = 2.800 per hour per gatherer. 24 hours x 6 rally slots x 2.800 = 403.200 points per day from just gathering. 3 Gathering days = 1.209.600 points for your kingdom! Use the 250 Gem speedup and the kings perk of 80%, and this will increase big time!
Training Soldiers
Traditional logic first 🙂 , everybody can build level 10 troops. For every troop build you can score 60 points. For me I can build 766 level 10 troops in 12 hours. So about 1532 every 24 hours = 91.920 point for each troop ( archers, infantry and cavalry ), 275.760 points. ( all these times, are my times, and serve as an example ).
Use your troop training speedups during troop training day! Yes, you wont get the speedup points, the speedup points are half of what the troop training points will give you. 91920 points for troops training vs ( 24×60=1440 minutes * 30=43200 points for speedups)
Use the King’s Perk ‘Noble Advisor’ when you use the speedups for training your Soldiers to maximize your speedups!
Now the smart play!
Instead of building level 10 troops, to prepare for the KvK, build level 9 troops and promote these to level 10 troops during the troop building day. The math:
10x Level 9 troops take 8 minutes 6 seconds to build, 45 points per soldier.
10x Level 10 troops take 9 minutes 24 seconds to build, 60 points per soldier.
To promote 10 level 9 troops to level 10 troops take about 1 minute 17 seconds. 15 Points scored.
Training fresh T10 will get you about 3830 points for KvK per hour ( not using your speedups ).
Upgrading T9->T10 will get you about 7013 points for KvK per hour. Almost double!!
So build level 9 troops, upgrade them to level 10 troops during KvK. Just make sure you have enough soldier training speedups ready to cover your quantity!
I typically build 200k troops between KvK’s. 200.000 x 15 = 3.000.000 Points scored.
Hero Gear Widgets
8000 Points per widget used. So anywhere from 40.000 points to 400.000 points, depending on the size of your upgrade. Save it for the Prep!
Hammers
A BearTrap favorite! Most people should be able to save about 250 hammers with ease! 4000 per hammer, 1.000.000 points!
Pets
Upgrading a pet from Level 1 to 50 gives about 550.000 points. However 🙂 When a new generation gets released, it’s best to instantly upgrade the first one to level 30 so the second one will spawn, so it will be ready to be upgraded to level 50 during the KvK. Upgrading 2 pets will give 2 x 550.000 = 1.100.000 points minus the Level 30 upgrade = 1.000.000 Kvk points.
Using the common taking mark gives 1150 points per mark. Use it on your top pets to level them up!
Using the advanced taming marks gives 15.000 points per mark, however only use it on your top pets when they are BLUE or higher! Don’t use it on anything lower! Just stack it and use it next time!
Hero Roulette
My personal favorite, save about 170.000 in gems, so you can maximize the roulette for 120 optimal spins ( don’t use more ). 120 x 8000 points per spin = 960.000 Points scored!
Watchtower Intel
6000 Points per mission, 24 missions daily, 32 with with Max Falconer. 3 Days of missions, 96 x 6000 = 576.000 points.
Play smart! If you would not use the intel missions from the day before, you can add an additional 3 x 8 missions = 24 x 6000 = 144.000 points, bringing your total to 720.000 points!
TrueGold
The biggest bang! Using TG for will give 2000 points per TG used. When you save your construction speedups and use the TG on your range, stable and barracks, it will provide the biggest bang for your speedups vs TG. Try to upgrade your castle and embassy in between KvK’s, and use the other buildings to upgrade during KvK prep. Barracks vs Embassy is 6x more efficient!!
TrueGold Dust
Save your Truegold dust with learning speedups. That will provide for a huge score. 600 TG Dust is what a free player can expect to save each month. 1000 points each, 600,000 points for KvK without spending.
Hero Shards
Purple hero shards will give 1,220 points per shard, and epic shards will give 3,040 points per shard. So when you use 100 shards to upgrade an hero, thats another 300,000 points for an mythic or 100,000 points for an Purple.
Governor Charms
A massive opportunity to score points! Do this only during the prep, and on the correct day!

Governor Gear

Master Manuscripts and Emblems
Strategy for the masters is to do the learning ahead of time, for as far as possible. When KvK comes around you can use all the stamina you stacked up and the emblems to increase your levels. Another easy 500.000 points up for grabs, low spenders might even get 1,000,000 points here.
